Bill Orabone is a serial entrepreneur, an angel investor, and a veteran of global business. He has led four successful technology startups, collectively resulting in over $400 million in exit valuations: Memcor (a pioneer in microfiltration); Intract (engineering, equipment and consulting for battery manufacturing); Harding Energy (nickel metal hydride battery manufacturing); and Lion Compact Energy (dual graphite battery technology). He started his career at PPG Industries as a process engineer, but he has since held positions in sales and marketing, strategic planning, and manufacturing.
He is currently the Managing Director of Syneptics, a self-funded angel investment entity, where he has made nearly 50 angel investments. Mr. Orabone is a graduate of Purdue University, where he studied Chemical Engineering, and is a Six Sigma black belt in quality control.
