Micaela Battiste was a part of the First Customer Program team at IRLEE, starting in 2014, analyzing market entry strategies for advanced materials, manufacturing, unmanned aerial vehicles, and life sciences startups. During her time at IRLEE she was a dual-degree student at Ross School of Business and School of Natural Resources interested in environmental sustainability and social engagement in value chain management. Her work experience before IRLEE includes teaching and account and brand management with a fair-trade exporter in Santiago, Chile and interning in the Agribusiness Unit of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Vienna. Micaela also served as a Summer Associate at the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council to develop financial and operating models of a supplier/technology park to support minority owned businesses in Michigan.
