Pamela Weiss is an operations management professional with cross sector experience managing projects in industry, government, and non-profit organizations. As a Project Manager on the DMAP Companies team she works with Michigan defense contractors in an effort to help them continue to grow and diversify their businesses. She develops outreach strategies to identify qualifying defense contractors, analyzes their businesses, and identifies opportunities for core strengthening and diversification projects. She also organizes training seminars and facilitates technology transfer from the innovation ecosystem to commercial partners through targeted matches and technology conferences.
Prior to working at the institute, Pam worked on industry supply chain and nonprofit operations consulting projects, earning the 2015 Award for Excellence in National Service. In five years at the Michigan House of Representatives, she managed policy as a Legislative Director and innovated constituent outreach programs. Her experience also includes product lifecycle management in a classified missile defense program.
Pam earned her B.S. in Operations Management and M.B.A. in Supply Chain Management from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Pam is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. She holds a certificate in Social Entrepreneurship from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Pam served on the Clinton Township Planning Commission and holds a certificate as a Master Citizen Planner.
