Parker joined the institute in 2002, conducting industry and market analysis as a Research Associate. He moved into a Project Manager role with the Great Lakes TAAC program, working with management at numerous firms in the tri-state area. He recently moved into the role of Assistant Director at the institute, overseeing operations initiatives and new technology applications. Parker has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He has also worked in account management and business development roles at a successful internet startup. He has authored healthcare strategy cases for MBA and executive education coursework and maintains a keen interest in marketing issues.
