The Defense Cybersecurity Assurance Program was established in order to strengthen small and medium-sized defense suppliers through the following:
- A cybersecurity awareness assessment
- Expert support to implement critical tools to secure CUI
- Verify compliance to DFARs 252.204-7012
- Educational Seminars
- Resource Mapping
- Identification of Workforce Gaps as related to cybersecurity
The Defense Cybersecurity Assurance Program (DCAP) partners have completed 117 assessment projects and 117 companies verified compliance to DFAR 252.204-7012 (NIST SP 800-171) through expert support. The team has educated over 3,000 companies and individuals in the defense supply chain on cybersecurity awareness.
