Industry 4.0

The Economic Growth Institute’s Industry 4.0 Initiative can support up to $25,000 in matching funds for approved projects for Michigan’s small manufacturers looking to implement Industry 4.0 manufacturing technologies. The program is funded by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and in partnership with Manufacturing Growth Alliance.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Do you have a small manufacturing company in regions 1,3,7,9, Oakland or Wayne counties as noted in the graphic to the side?

  • Companies must complete an I4.0 Technology Assessment by the MMTC prior to award OR provide documentation of an executed strategy for determining which technology to implement

  • Companies must be an Essential Member with Automation Alley (free) or be an existing Automation Alley member. 

What value does the program offer?

  • Up to $25,000 matching grant funds
  • Assessment of Industry 4.0 Opportunities in manufacturing plant
  • Assistance with grant application for MEDC Industry 4.0 grant
