Chelsea Gilbert is a project manager working with EGI’s business and industry programs.
As a project manager, Chelsea assists small to medium-sized businesses in Southeast Michigan. She helps connect resources, funding, and technology to aid in local companies’ stability and growth. At EGI, she has committed to sustainability as an ambassador of the university’s campus-wide Planet Blue effort.
Born and raised in southeast Michigan, she is enthusiastic about making new connections and learning more about the innovative manufacturing sector that Michigan has to offer. She is passionate about equity as she seeks to help companies gain access to new resources, working toward sustainability.
Before joining EGI, Chelsea was a project manager for an environmental home monitoring tech startup. She led the company’s product development, product quality testing, shipping, data analysis, marketing, and business development projects.
Outside of work, Chelsea spends time with her family and friends. In the spring, she coaches throwing events for a local high school girls’ track team, having competed in college as a part of the Harvard track team. She enjoys swimming, reading, quilting, and traveling.
Chelsea has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, a secondary in Astrophysics, and a language citation in German from Harvard University.
