The Economic Growth Institute has been working with private sector consultants, trainers and other public organizations for 35 years. Our programs support a wide range of projects each year throughout Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and other states in the Great Lakes region.
Working with our programs
We are eager to learn about experts who share our mission to serve new and innovative businesses, small and mid-size manufacturers, defense suppliers, and other businesses and communities that are seeking to innovate, respond to global challenges, and prosper. While we do not maintain a preferred list of consultants, we regularly connect consultants to clients in our programs when they are considering options for assistance.
Help clients achieve success
Through our programs, we help new companies gain traction with business development and accelerate customer acquisition. We also help established small and mid-size firms identify and develop projects to improve their competitiveness. We contract third-party service providers who work directly with our clients.
Our business and community assistance programs provide matching funds for projects, requiring clients to only pay a portion of project costs (typically 50%, though this can vary by program). This makes important initiatives more affordable. Projects are bid, and cost is considered, but we work with firms to help them make the best business decision. Selection places high importance on expertise and experience, with attention to deliverables and outcomes. Learn more about our programs on this site.
