Decision Coach Learning Outcomes

As a decision coach, you will be able to apply the Allovance method to your engagements to improve collaboration, reduce bias and create more value to the decision making process.

ABOUT THE DECISION COACH PROCESS

Module 1

Setting The Stage

Learners will Demonstrate they understand the Allovance process at a high level and are able to communicate that with clients and prospective clients.
Be able to establish a solid foundation on which you will build the rest of the decision-making model.
Module 2

Kicking Things Off

Be able to explain the role of the Decision Coach in an engagement.
Learners are able to explain and facilitate the creation of a decision model goal and set up the Strategize step.

Strategize (Allovance Method Step 1)

Be able to identify the Strategic Priorities and Strategic Objectives (introduced in Module 1), that influence the decision model goal.
Demonstrate the ability to facilitate creation of the Strategic Value Scorecard.

Software Reveal

Learners will be able to setup a new model in the software.
Be able to explain the role of the software in the process as a “decision companion” to clients.

Compare (Allovance Method Step 2)

Be able to explain pairwise comparison and its role in reducing bias.
Learner will demonstrate they can facilitate the Compare step to determine relative weights.
Module 6

Quantify (Allovance Method Step 3)

Demonstrate ability to facilitate meetings with Subject Matter Experts to develop scales for objectives and priorities.
Be able to explain process clearly, as this step will be repeated several times with each subject matter expert group.
Be able to explain how scales are used to create objective measure out of subjective variables
Module 7

Score (Allovance Method Step 4)

Facilitate creation and completion of customized project forms.
Explain how the project forms work with the priorities and objectives to generate scores.
Module 8

Select (Allovance Method Step 5)

Be able to explain how the process developed a full strategic value scorecard and a complete model.
Be able to explain how a model is optimized and facilitate selection of the portfolio of projects that best aligns with the decision model goal and organization strategy.
Module 9

Planning

Be able to facilitate the creation of a multi-year plan and explain the Gantt chart features and planning process.
Demonstrate understanding of how project form feeds into chart generation.
Module 10

The Wrap-Up

Demonstrate ability to walk the strategic team through the final deliverable, through the dashboard, and all the dashboard sections.
Module 11

Live Engagement

Demonstrate ability to facilitate a complete engagement in a real-world setting.
