Emily Aiken is a project senior manager working with EGI’s research programs. As an experienced practitioner in community engagement with a focus on qualitative research, Emily supports research on equity and inclusion of economic and workforce development programs. In addition to leading the successful project execution and fiscal and programmatic compliance, Emily fosters collaborative connections across EGI departments and with partners.

Emily also has experience as a Senior Project Coordinator at the Intercultural Development Inventory where she supports a community of practitioners who desire to bridge cultural differences to serve humanity in the way we interact with one another. Emily previously worked in various roles at the University of Michigan where she supported students and staff in guided reflection and skill development in a way that fosters a sense of belonging, creativity, and inclusion. Before that, she served as a Peace Corps Ecuador teacher trainer with English teachers in Piñas, El Oro.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys being outside, spending time with her family, and traveling. Emily has a B.A. in Economics from Kalamazoo College, a M.A. in College Student Development from Appalachian State University, and will soon complete her Ph.D. in Leadership and Change from Antioch University.
