Jani Hatchett is a project manager working with EGI’s manufacturing programs and driving outreach across Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
Jani is the outreach project manager at the Great Lakes Trade Adjustment Assistance Center, working to support small and medium sized manufacturers across the Great Lakes region. Her ultimate goal is to assist businesses in creating jobs, promoting innovation, and strengthening financial performance. She is committed to the success and continued leadership of the region’s manufacturing.
A native of southeast Michigan, Jani feels at home traveling throughout the region, visiting large metro areas, and many towns and places in each region, and great lakes beaches. She views the region as a focal point of manufacturing and innovation. Jani enjoys learning about new companies and gets excited at the possibility of supporting them.
Before becoming a team member at EGI, she worked in the wealth management and consulting fields. Jani is a natural entrepreneur and has successfully built and sold multiple companies.
Outside work, Jani spends time with her three children and her dog. Before children, she taught yoga and Pilates at her private studio. She loves chemistry and routinely makes her own skincare and perfume products.
Jani holds a BS in Resource Ecology Management focusing on chemistry and biology from the University of Michigan.
