Jani Hatchett is an outreach project manager at the University of Michigan’s Economic Growth Institute, where she supports the Great Lakes Trade Adjustment Assistance Center and its work with small and mid-sized manufacturers across Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
In her role, Jani connects business leaders with resources and consulting support designed to strengthen operations, encourage innovation, support job creation, and improve long-term financial performance. She is particularly interested in learning how companies operate, understanding the challenges their leaders face, and helping manufacturers identify opportunities for continued growth.
Jani is a Certified Value Growth Advisor and brings experience in business value growth, entrepreneurship, wealth management, consulting, and project management. Before joining EGI, she built and sold multiple businesses, giving her firsthand experience with business development, company growth, ownership, and transition.
Jani holds a Bachelor of Science in Resource Ecology Management from the University of Michigan, with an academic focus on chemistry and biology.
