Mary Ammerman is a project manager working with EGI’s industry and community programs.
As an experienced project manager, Mary assists communities and small businesses across the state of Michigan. Through her work at EGI, she helps connect and leverage resources, funding, and technology to help local companies and communities diversify and grow. Mary is an Allovance Certified Decision Coach with expertise in strategic planning, community engagement, process development, and cross-functional communication.
A native Michigander, Mary is passionate about engaging with new businesses and communities to help ensure they have equitable access to resources and solutions that strengthen local and regional economic development.
Before joining EGI in 2021, Mary worked for 6 years in the State of Michigan government, most recently in the Executive Office of the Governor, where she held roles in strategic planning, management, and coalition building around a variety of statewide initiatives.
Outside of work, Mary spends time with her husband and dog traveling and getting outside as much as possible. She is an adventurous cook and enjoys hosting family and friends for gatherings.
Mary has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from College of Charleston.
