The University of Michigan's Economic Growth Institute hosted its inaugural Elevate Forum for businesses, community leaders, and economic development colleagues at the University's Detroit Center. With over 100 attendees joining both in person and online, the forum offered a full day of presentations and networking. In a recent engagement with community leaders in Grundy County, Illinois, EGI’s Dr. Sarah Crane and Carmen Wells Quigg presented results of the team’s research and economic analysis of the region. EGI's research and community teams work together to empower communities with detailed analysis that is vital for informed leadership. Sarah and Carmen met with local community leaders and stakeholders to discuss the findings funded by the Grundy County Economic Development Council and the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce.
