Sara Reynolds is a project coordinator working with EGI’s Department of Defense funded grant programs.

As an experienced project coordinator, Sara collaborates with the project management team to design strategies to increase the volume and quality of applicants. Through her work at EGI, she conducts outreach and engagement activities and ensures a smooth admissions process by helping connect and leverage resources, funding, and technology to help local companies succeed.

With over a decade of administrative experience, Sara has honed her skills in coordinating intricate projects, managing communications and marketing, overseeing outreach efforts, and handling confidential information and event management. She previously contributed to a small communications team at Michigan Medicine and also has expertise in editorial work and grant management.

Born and raised in a small community in southeastern Michigan, Sara’s roots have instilled in her a profound appreciation for the pivotal role of economic development in nurturing all communities. Her commitment extends beyond business success; she is dedicated to supporting communities and their members for sustained prosperity.

Before joining EGI in 2023, Sara was a Research Administrator at Michigan Medicine where she strategized proposal development, managed deadlines, and worked closely with project teams. She managed both federal and non-federal grants and conducted the reconciliation of project funds.

Outside of work, Sara spends time with her husband, daughter, cat Curtis, and dog Rita. While indulging in her love for Seinfeld episodes, she balances indoor and outdoor activities and enjoys hiking, camping, attending concerts, and playing beach volleyball. Additionally, she channels her creativity into various forms of art, including photography, painting, graphic design, and interior design.

Sara has a B.A. in Graphic Design and Media Arts from Southern New Hampshire University.
